Anika Valluri I saw what other people thought and they thought it was a metephor and Gat didn’t physically wrap up Cade’s wounds with bandages, he made her feel better and asked her why she was sad. But it could be suicide attempts, but I don’t think so because E. lock heart put the whole father shooting daughter thing as a metephor so I think it was metaphorical
caitlin E. Lockhart uses this "bleeding" metaphor throughout the book. The bleeding is supposed to represent the pain she felt. So no, she wasn't actually shot by her dad and she wasn't actually cut on her wrists, she felt irreparably sad and the bleeding's supposed to delineate that.
