Hi Reyna, I'm so glad you're writing! Right now, you're exactly where you should be - focused on writing the book. Complete it and make it the best it can possibly be. That is the art of what you are doing. Once you have mastered the art, you can focus on the business - the agent, publisher bit. There is as much to learn about this end as there is about the art, which means there's not much I can offer you in this format. But for now, I'd say this: It's always about the writing. Make it the best it can be and it will draw the attention of the agent or publisher. So keep writing and good luck!

My 6th graders were beyond excited to discover that there will be a book 4 to the Ascendance "Trilogy!" We just finished book 3 last week, and they are all trying to figure out how I can read it to them next year when they are in middle school! I have been reading the series ever since it came out, and every year I have had to read all 3 books, once they were all out, of course. Are ARC copies available for book 4?

I'm a huge fan of your books, and I've read almost all of them! I've noticed that Mark of the Theif trilogy spells out MOTT, a character from Ascendance Series. Is that a coincidence, or did you name Mott because of the Mark of the Theif trilogy? Thank you for your amazing books! The idea of wanting to be a writer has been in my head for years, and you inspired me to believe that I CAN be one. I love your writing!
