Goodreads asked Rachael Sircar:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Rachael Sircar Since I'm a hobbyist author, I have the option to step away from a story and come back to it at a later time. No due dates, no worries. Sometimes I'll break away for months or years at a time. I currently have 46 works in progress, so that just gives you an idea of how many times I've 'stopped and put it aside', only to be distracted by another book I'm working on.
If I'm trying to get through a particular part I will sometimes take my dog for a walk to get my brain working again. Or I'll look at highlights and notes from other books I've read (one of many reasons I love my kindle) in order to get some refreshing ideas.
