Michael While the events take place chronologically before The Expanse Book 1, this was released after Book 1 as a prequel and avoids rehashing details revealed in The Expanse Book 1, so I would call this The Expanse 1.5.

Elyse Chronologically the events of the novella happen before Book 1. So it should be #0.5.
