It depends on the book. Each book is different and I have no idea why. Sometimes I get an idea and feel the need to plot it all down. Other times, I get a scene and just go. Appetite for Innocence happened that way. I got a scene in my head and took off. The book was done in three and a half weeks! I mean, not in a form that I'd show anyone, but the rough draft was complete.

Hello Lucinda, First, I'd like to thank you for the mind-blowing rollercoaster ride you took me on with "The Perfect Child". It really left an everlasting impact on me! I would like to ask the ending of the book. Beyond reasoning of suspense, I would love to know your thoughts on how the ending came to a stop at that point? I am still wondering about Hannah & Christopher's relationship and what happens to Janie?
