Jean Whitehead

Did Lee Child write it or was it his brother having a trial run? The writing style is characteristic but seems over done and formulaic - it is definitely lacking the usual page turning panache. Did anyone else think that wit, tension and even the character of Jack all seem to have diminished?

Mike Marsbergen There's no reason to believe Andrew took part in this one. To me it reads like Lee knew it was his last outing. There are numerous references to Killing Floor, Reacher has sex twice in one chapter, the violence—it all strikes me as Lee wanting to try and go out how he came in.
Philip Higgins Totally agree, there was a distinct change in tone from earlier books. The addition of his younger brother as co-writer may refresh matters but I'm giving up on this series.
