Alka Joshi:
Thank you for having written such a beautiful and interesting story. Your ten year journey has brought many great joy. The narration by Sneha Mathan complimented your story so much. My time spent listening to your book was a true escape. Plus I learned so much about the Indian culture. What a treasure. I most likely will also read the hard cover book one day. Is there another book in your future?
Alka Joshi
InJoy: thanks so much for writing to me! I chose Sneha because she could bring a unique voice to each character--even the talking parakeet!
The sequel to The Henna Artist should be out in stores next Spring, so you have that to look forward to :-). Malik will be the star of that one! And if that does well, we'll have a third book, which is Radha's story when she is 30. Crossed fingers and toes!!!!

Hi alka joshi How are you? Will you be writing another series of books after the henna artist books or will you keep going with them? I think you were saying the henna artist was going to be a trilogy series. What sort of books are you going to write next? Your books are really great. I've been really enjoying them and looking forward to your posts on goodreads and Instagram. From Sarah

Monterey? My Grandmother grew up in the Cachagua in the Carmel Valley. Stories of living on the farm, protecting her little brother from a mountain lion then building a home in 1931 on Colton St. She was very active in society, the women's club and played bridge like a master. She even met and danced with John Steinbeck. After she passed, my parents lived in that house for years. Good memories!
