I have been a fan of yours since your wonderful columns in the Toronto Star and your earlier books the Suburban Detective series. I love your writing! You just keep getting better and better. Do your other fans have trouble getting up in the morning after staying up until 3 A.M. To finish one of your books?

Typing and Latin, after reading, of course, are the skills I learned in school and continued to use constantly throughout my life. So I found "A Noise Downstairs" to be fun, familiar and frustrating. I was suspicious of the perpetrators from early on, but was impressed with how it was all carried off. In short, I liked this book. The use of the typed headers was clever. Did you have input on the design?
