Did Liz ring true for you, specifically her unconditional love towards Eva?

She was what Eva thought that her mother or grandmother would have been in her romantic notion of what if. Liz was a very charing person and made Eva realize she was loveable.
I did find the plot twist interesting, another of the may twists and turns, when Danielle, Claire's personal assistant, was Liz's daughter and Eva overhearing their conversation really made the book happen. It turned out it was not by chance they met at the airport. Eva knew Claire was trying to disappear and she sought her out and did not run into her by chance.
I agree with Jacqueline that it would have been sadder that when Eva finally found someone who truly loved her for who she was even though Eva wasn't telling Liz the truth about her life, she was almost snuffed out by Fish. (less)
