Can someone please explain the significance of the 911 call transcript at the end of the book? I suspect it was part of some climatic ending but it went over my head.

I listened to this on audio and went back twice to re-listen because I couldn't figure out what the connection was. Of course, when I listen I am often multi-tasking, so I kind of chalked it up to that, but it did feel confusing to me as well. Interesting to think about the intentions of the author.

I will say that I thought this main character (Arden/Olivia) was more honest than Nicolette in "All The Missing Girls," which I listened to just before this one. They both found themselves in situations in which they could tell the whole truth, but while Nicolette told very little to the police, Olivia only kept a few things to herself. (less)
