Michael J. Sullivan:
Is there anyway to get hardcover volumes of the Riyria Revealations and the Riyria Chronicles?
Michael J. Sullivan
Yes, and no. This is kinda a long answer. So first, you need to understand that Orbit (the publisher of three of the Riyria Revelations, and the first two Riyria Chronicles), only produced the books in trade paperback format. So, no such hardcovers exist on those, but we published the last two books of the Riyria Chronicles and those WERE produced in hardcover and trade paperback, so you can buy copies of those. Currently, the bookstores are stocking the trade paperback versions, but the hardcovers
are available on our website store.
Now, Orbit DID sell the bookclub rights to their copies, so there were a limited number of bookclub editions of those books (which were in hardcover), but they sold out many years ago. You can sometimes see them for sale on various book marketplace sites.
Lastly, we did buy the rights to produce a limited edition version of the copyrights form Orbit (which will be in hardcovers). Unfortunately, supply for those will be very limited, so I suspect they will sell out immediately. If you want to be notified when they are available there is a sign-up form that an be found here.

I know you said you don't plan to write a sequel to the Riyria books, and I understand because the ending is PERFECT. There's just one thing I'm curious about. Royce says that he wants to make better connections between humans and elves, but what about the dwarves? I know Royce says many times that he doesn't like them, but it doesn't really seem like a happy ending if dwarves are still left landless and persecuted.

Good day, I am wondering if you would share the story of how you got paired up with Tim Gerard Reynolds as your narrator? Is that something that was simply blind luck with what the publisher decided for you or is there some other connection there? Narrators obviously have an enormous impact on the success of a book and I don’t think you could have anyone better than him reading your work! He is fantastic!
