Not if they were my 13 year olds.

It was mostly tame. There were certain sex implications, but they were more like strong illusions to it than anything explicitly being said. On that note though, there are strong implications of prostitution. There is also minor cussing. In terms of it being appropriate, I would say it's fine depending on the 13 year old, though I think I wouldn't have grasped most of the concepts or had much interest when I was 13: it's a slow burn, and it does not have anything enticing to the average 13 year old.
I'm 19 if that is of any relevance or helpful at all.

not unless you want to bore them to death...

Can someone please tell me the page numbers of the sex scenes? It makes me so uncomfortable to read scenes like that and just want to skip them and cover them with sticky notes before hand. Someone please answer <3

It's basically a YA romance novel, so yes. There are unexplicit references to sex, but by no means is this too much for young people who are maturing sexually themselves. I have to say that as an adult of the grown variety, I found this book a trite eye-roller, one I didn't finish. Kids and grown folks alike can find better reading fare to consume than this.

There are a few sex scenes, not extremely graphic but do use phrases like "inside me" and some other vague descriptions. Also mentions/experiences of prostitution. There is some cursing, but its far from constant.

I read this book when I was 13 and there was nothing explicit so I’d say it’s ok, it’s such a good book!

Hmmm... It really depends on the person. It isn't explicit but there is implied sex and prostitution. They drop a few f-bombs but otherwise it would be fine to read!
