Do I need to read The Exorcist before Legion? I found this at Goodwill, and with the Corona Virus it is not possible for me to go to the library right now for it. So I'm hoping it can act as a stand alone.

I would for sure recommend reading The Exorcist first. Pretty essential background on all the characters included there.
