Lisa Unger So glad you enjoyed IN THE BLOOD. Good question. Statistically, the chances are probably pretty low! But statistics rarely make for good fiction. One of the themes of the book is the complicated twist of the predator/ prey relationship, and how some people, particularly victims of trauma or abuse, are often drawn to people and behaviors that are harmful.
