Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Patrick Mullane Obviously, the idea for my memoir came from an interesting life lived! That said, I also saw an opportunity. Very few books are written about a love between a father and son. And even fewer are written from the perspective of a son who is the child of an astronaut. These two unique angles made me think hat people would find interest in my story. And because it is an uplifting story, it's a departure from many memoirs which feature anguish, heartache, and dysfunction. There is certainly a need for such works, but reading a feel-good story every now and then is something I think we can all use.
