Does anyone know why Ms. Weir spelled Katherine Howard's name "Katheryn"? I realize that in the sixteenth century, spelling was "all over the place," but I have never seen the Fifth Queen's name spelled this way.

Later historians called her Catherine, Katherine, Katharine, etc. since they weren't too fussy about spelling. But I think Ms. Weir chose Katheryn because that was how she spelled it. (less)
