I rarely have writer's block. I get plot block often. I learned speed of plot from screen writing. If it doesn't drive the plot it shouldn't be in a book. My commitment to relevance puts me in a position where I have to ensure the "next chapter" is important and speeds things along. My reader is the most important player in my book.
