Writing is an outlet for me. When I was in the film business, I didn't work to see myself on the screen. I worked because I loved the process and the work. Writing is the same thing for me. Taking a story from scrawled notes to published work is a pleasure and a lift to my soul. In life we all build monuments. Some are flat markers and others are the Washington Monument. I am hoping for something in the middle.

I am nearly 300 pages into the sequel for Stolen Valor. Dark Motive ties up some loose ends in the 1st book and launches an entirely new adventure for Brand. I anticipate publication mid Summer 2020.

I rarely have writer's block. I get plot block often. I learned speed of plot from screen writing. If it doesn't drive the plot it shouldn't be in a book. My commitment to relevance puts me in a position where I have to ensure the "next chapter" is important and speeds things along. My reader is the most important player in my book.

It was a combination of personal experience and my love for spy thrillers. I started with the Destroyer series in the 80's. I read Bond, Bourne and of course Jack Reacher. I wanted to create a character who was an every-man in extraordinary situations.
