I'm confused... Can some on please explain to me the difference between (Paris for one) and (the girl you left behind) because the way some reviews made it seem as that you get some parts of one in the other?

Paris For One and Other Stories is a book that has 2 novellas and 9 others short stories in it. Paris For One is one of the novellas and Honeymoon in Paris is the other, which the main characters are the ones from The Girl You Left Behind, but you don't necessarily have to read one to read the other.
