What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Rishab Borah One thing I love about writing is that I can live out scenarios that may not happen or might just be downright impossible to experience in real life. I'm not entirely sure if this is the 'best thing' for me (I usually find it hard to designate something as 'best'), because creating worlds is a close second. My preferred genres are fantasy and sci-fi because they allow room for the creation of entire worlds and systems that just flat-out couldn't exist in real life. Making worlds and interpreting magical or otherworldly concepts in books is one of my favorite things to do in writing. I go crazy with worldbuilding--I have pages and pages on stuff in the world of my series that may never appear in the series itself!
