I hate to ask this so soon after releasing AOE, but... what's next? A new series of 6 following the creation of Percepliquis? Whatever it is, I'm looking forward to getting it.

Hey Jeremy, thanks for asking. So next up is a trilogy which is tentatively called "The Rise and Fall" - and it is based in Elan and takes place after the events of Legends (800 years) and before Riyria (1,000) years. Right now the books are called: Nolyn, Farilane, and Esrahaddon. Nolyn is a name that should be familiar to people who read Legends. Esrahaddon should be recognizable to Riyria fans. Farilane actually appears in both books, but she is only mentioned in passing so people may not recognize her.
I've written the first two books, and I'm doing research to start the third. Robin, my wife has finished her alpha read on book #1 and has only very minor comments (a good sign). Hopefully the book will go into beta soon.
Release dates are tentatively scheduled for the Summer of 2021, 2022, and 2023.

I know this is going to be an off-the-wall question, but why don't writers have their characters poop or pee? Brandon Sanderson, in one of his recent novels has the character Wayne use the "crapper", and has Wayne even ponder all the names that people have for the "crapper." I thought, "Wow, that's the first time I've read something like that."

Hi again, I saw on a Reddit thread from a few weeks ago that you had met with some people about a possible film adaptation for Riyria, but never updated us on how the meeting went, so I thought I’d go ahead and ask! Any good news to share? I assume things haven’t progressed much otherwise you would have announced something by now, but even just a little bit of progress is still progress :) Best of luck to you!
