Anne Crosse
Anne Crosse asked Nathan Senthil:

How did you go about writing The Immoralist. Did you work out the plot first, or did you have the characters in mind before you put pen to paper?

Nathan Senthil I wrote the plot first. Since The Immoralist is partially a police procedural, I gave a lot of importance to the solving of the crime. As Mr. Bunny, the antagonist, works almost two decades to make himself very knowledgeable in forensics, I had to create an ending that is logical but never been tried before. Gabriel uses a really cool form of deduction to catch Mr. Bunny and that took a lot of time to conceive.
