Was anyone else disturbed by the graphic sexual content? Please be kind, I'm brand new to this site. This is the May selection by Jenna Bush Hager for the Today Show book club. I'm a Christian, not a hater, support LBBTQ+, etc. I just didn't expect the graphic details and certainly not a c-word that was included. Just curious if I'm the only one who feels like it wasn't necessary to include it in the book.

While I don’t consider it necessary to the book, I feel like I could say that about a lot of scenes and interactions in books; short, minor character development/action scenes don’t make or break a book. This book touches on so many contemporary subjects that the sexual content doesn’t register as notable. I guess it depends on your experiences and the expectations you bring to a book. (less)
