How do you get inspired to write?

Liza Cordero I find inspiration everywhere. Elements of the novel, The Scientist King, were inspired by photos of the northern lights, a high school biology lecture on virus infection, local Filipino myths about engkantos, and projects in predictive data science. I wrote another story (that may be published in the future) in the same world as The Scientist King after being wowed by a glass sculpture by the artist, Chihuly. You have to be open to the spark of inspiration wherever you are, whatever you’re doing.
