How do you get inspired to write?

Aaron N. Hall Inspiration is awesome when it strikes, but I believe a consistent work ethic is even more valuable. Write every day and give yourself a quota. If you don't hit that quota, don't punish yourself, but resolve to hit it the next day. Even if you feel like you can't write today and nothing you're producing is good, you can always revise it later.
That being said, watching movies or playing video games with compelling characters and plots always amps me up to write compelling stories of my own.
