Hi Mark, First of all, I love your books! I love it that you mix (so well) science and fantasy (my favourite subjects). However, concerning The Broken Empire, The Red Queen's War & The Book of the Ancestor, I have to ask: why is it so that you place the story in a futuristic / post-apocalyptic world and you set it on a medieval environment? I do like it, but I'm just curious :) Best & stay safe

Looking to the future are you tempted to write anything that’d fall more into the Horror category? You seem to enjoy Stephen King, for example. I think there’s often not much difference between darker, realistic, fantasy and the horror genre. Maybe the main difference is the world in which it’s set, with ‘conventional horror’ being more contemporary, in our world?

It was so good how you described the way Jorg felt like maybe its because i'm a teenager that i could say most of the thoughts and feelings are relatable.
