David Berkowitz
David Berkowitz asked Lawrence Wright:

Based on everything you learned from writing "The End of October," what do you think about what the US should do next? How quickly can we reopen everything?

Lawrence Wright I live in Texas, and we're almost completely open now. Nail salons and beauty shops open on Friday. The only thing that remains closed is bars. I think it's too soon. Texas hasn't been touched as hard as many places, but more association is bound to be accompanied by increased case loads. On the other hand, we desperately need to open up our economy. So I support cautious openings, but they have to be accompanied by extensive testing and continued social distancing.
