I know you as a nonfiction writer. What has piqued your interest in writing fiction and is your novel writing process different from your nonfiction process?

Lawrence Wright I've written plays and movies and one other novel. I like writing in different forms. They are all forms of storytelling. What they have in common, at least for me, is that they all emerge from real events or situations. I like to research how something might actually happen. Reality is so much more interesting to me than pure imagination.
