Can someone tell me what the Anglos are trying to say each time they butcher the French language throughout this book? TYIA :-)

Michelle I think the English must be using 'fraise' or strawberry instead of 'frais' which can mean cold/cool, or fresh - so they're trying to say the night is cool or cold.
Mandy Finkelstein The night is a strawberry is the night is cold.
Pamela Bronson La nuit est fraise (pronounced roughly "frez") - the night is a strawberry. La nuit est fraiche ("fresh") - the night is cool. I haven't figured out the umlauts or cushions myself yet - hope someone does.
