Then again, I know it has helped some people. Others, however, have struggled more because of it. It will hit different people in different ways. Still want to recommend them books? Self help and inspirational titles would be better. But better than any of that, they have a friend that they've gone to for help.

You may not be able to make it better or worse, but you can be there, and I promise that's worth more than anything. Just still being there. To talk. To hang out without talking. To check in on her. What you're already doing is a big deal.(less)
