hiya! :) I have a few questions: 1. I've heard that you'll get a character's voice in your head and it helps you with personalities, etc, what do you mean by that? 2. Where do you get your inspiration? 3. How do you become published? 4. Any inspiration or advice? I hope to become an author one day, also dont feel pressured to answer!

Hi Emmyaudi!
1) For me, it's like rehearsing a scene from a play, where I might be the director and I'm working with the other characters in the scene. That's one way I might be able to explain it.
2) For me, as soon as something gets my attention - anything for any reason, I grab that moment and start to ask questions about it. Those questions lead me to story.
3) To become published. write and write some more. And write until you become good for a publisher to say yes. That's a far more complicated process, one too big to write about here, but bottom line is, keep writing.
4) If you want to be an author one day, start looking at the books you love to read as textbooks. Study the writing - why do you love this, or why don't you? What could the author have done better? Use your favorite books to train you as a writer.
And keep on writing!

In "The False Prince" pg. 189, last paragraph, Mott glanced at Sage warning him not to react when Amarinda was talking about the Royal family being murdered. How does Mott know that Sage would react? Mott doesn't yet know that he is Prince Jaren.

I love your books! I feel like such a fangirl for writing in here but I read "The False Prince" for the first time in 6th grade and complete fell in love with your writing. I just realized today that you also wrote "A Night Divided" which I read when I was probably in 3rd grade. Thank you so much for writing these books! You've inspired me to write and hopefully one day i'll be able to be as good of a writer as you. ?
