Robert
Robert asked Robert Dugoni:

How do you prepare and research for the areas you'll be using in your novels, the various techniques that are used as well as everyday items such as computers (or tech), food, automobiles, so on. Do you begin by identifying the person and their individual preferences while at the same time building events into which they are thrust--creating the scenario, then saying how would Tracy (or others) react to the storyline?

Robert Dugoni Honestly, I'm an organic writer, so I start with an idea and I let the characters live in that environment. Where they go and what they eat or need is organic to the story. When I get to that point I do the research on that area or about that item to get it right, though not always. Seems I always screw up guns.
Thanks for asking
