My wonderful editor once told me that she doesn't believe in Writer's Block. If you can't get something on the page, the root cause is in the story. I took her advice and reflected on it and found that to be true. It wasn't that I couldn't write, it's that the story wouldn't allow me to. I had to delete some stuff, then rework it, but ultimately it as all better for it.
