How do you get inspired to write?

Chuck Mallory I don't. I sit down and start writing. I allow myself a couple of diversions if it's really hard. If I write and it's not going well, I give myself another 10 min. or so diversion. Then I sit back down to write. This goes on all day until I reach my quota, regardless of the quality of my writing. If my weekdays are not as productive as I would like, I work over the weekend. It isn't about inspiration--it's about making myself write regardless of what is going on.
