You mentioned a local bookstore that has signed copies of your work. I had already purchased directly from the publisher, so I didn't keep the information. But I'd like to support the store. Do you know if they sell gift cards? Could you post their information?

My two local stores with signed copies of my work here in Minneapolis are Uncle Hugo's, and Dreamhaven. Both do mail order, and both have lots of different titles in stock. (Hugo's stock is probably larger.) You'll have to ask them about gift cards.

The news today is that Philip Roth has died. In the NPR story about him, there's a reference to an interview in 2013: https://www.npr.org/2013/03/23/174949848/at-80-philip-roth-reflects-on-life-literature-and-the-beauty-of-naps . Where are you on the spectrum of retirement? Obviously, not fully retired yet, but I suspect you might be slowing down?

Laid off again. This is the second time I have had your books to lean on when things are not going well, and I love how warm they are to read. The first time was the Vorkosigan saga and now Sharing Knife and 5 Gods. ...and as an aspiring writer, I despair of writing characters so adroitly humorous and well-drawn. A question mark?
