How do you get inspired to write?

C.E. Cannery Normally, it would start with a phrase or an image in my mind. I, then, sit down somewhere quiet, get a cup of tea, and I let my words lead. Other then that not-so-helpful answer, I find music very useful for putting myself basically into a trance so that I can focus. I suppose the thing that inspires me most is nature. I think of the red rocks of Arizona, I think of the quiet Montana shrub-land, and, of course, I think of the towering douglas firs of my home state.
