I would warn any teen reading this book that it seems to normalize unsafe sex and glorify teenage pregnancy. That is my biggest complaint with this book. There are 2 instances of girls thinking it's fine to have sex without a condom and both end up pregnant, so I would talk to any teen about the issues surrounding unsafe sex (beyond just pregnancy) and how teen pregnancy is not 'romantic.'

I believe the book is perfect for a mature 14 year old girl. But I should warn you that the aspects of sex are there and although the book and it's romantic scenes aren't graphic, there are some other problems. One of the girls shows the readers and unsafe method of sex where the use of protection isn't portrayed which might cause a misunderstanding but if the reader is mature enough to know that in such a young age protection while sex is important and essential, then there is absolutely no problem, take care! :)

yes this book is mature enough for a 14 year old girl. i first read this book at age 12 and i found it a very good read. the content wasn't mature at all, there is like 1 initimate scene and thats it. if you are so worried about your child reading it, i suggest you read it first to make sure yourself that it is appropriate reading material for your child.
