Thanks for your question! Sorry it's taken me so long to start answering and that I am only going to be able to answer a couple tonight -- it was my son's first birthday and I spent most of today chasing him around.
I really like writing for teens and for younger readers, but I think my teen voice is a little bit easier for me. I really do love writing for younger readers, but its a bit more of a stretch. The thing I like best is actually being able to careen between YA and MG, because each one feels like a break from the other.

I was so excited to find out that 'The Book of Night' was set in the Happy Valley. I was wondering when Charlie says 'There is a place you can learn to swing a broadsword' was she referring to the Association for Renaissance and Medieval Swordsmanship (ARMS) at the Massachusetts Renaissance Center in Amherst?
