Carrie
Carrie asked Christine Feehan:

Where do you get your inspiration for your books? All of your books pull me in and I usually go without sleep to finish them. Lol. I greatly enjoy the suspense and story lines!

Christine Feehan It starts out with an idea for a single book. All of my books can be read as stand-alone books because that’s my approach with my writing. As I write a book, I start to see the landscape of characters, places and potential.
I’m inspired by everything around me. The wind through the trees, a man in a restaurant leaning to whisper to a woman, the way an animal moves. Anything can inspire me. My Shadow series was inspired by watching my dogs run in and out of shadows. Life around me can inspire some wild ideas in my head.
Like I said, each book is a stand-alone story. You should be able to pick up any book, as a rule, and start reading from any point in the series.
