Hello, I have read almost all Carpathian series, that was my intro. to your writing and haven't stopped reading any of your books, then went to GhostWalker and Drake Sister and Earthbound Series, than started reading Torpedo Ink and Shadow Rider series and can't get enough of those two series. So question is- What made you decide to start writing these two series since they are way different than any of your others?
Christine Feehan
The Carpathian series was inspired by stories I used to tell my children. My son, Cal, loved fantasy stories. When he passed away I was devastated and in a very dark place. But, I had other children that I had to take care of.
To help me through, I began to write the Carpathian series. Dark Prince. So, that's where that came from.
For the GhostWalkers, I’ve always been inspired by the courage of our soldiers. Through the years I’ve had so many family members and friends in different branches of the military. They have always inspired me and I do see them as heroes and heroines.
Specifically, for the GhostWalkers I had come across information about psychic experiments done around the world, in so many different countries, as military programs or experiments. With so many countries working on these types of programs I wondered how successful they are.
I was interested in psychic talents, how they worked and whether they really could be trained to be used as weapons. It was fascinating. And these experiments started very early on, not just recently. My mind began to ask that “what if” question – What if this actually worked? What if those talents could be enhanced? From there, the GhostWalker series was born.

Will we see a skirmish between Torpedo Ink & the Diamondbacks? Will they go to war eventually? Are you gearing up towards that? Just wondering...It's very hard for MC's to function close to one another we all see or have seen the brutality in the news, gunfire, battles over turf/or just personal vendettas--The Swords seemed to be weakened, and now I worry about the MC closest to them. A very large dangerous one.
