Jennifer Libby asked Christine Feehan:

How did the Ghostwalkers first get your attention to write about them?

Christine Feehan I’ve always been inspired by the courage of our soldiers. Through the years I’ve had so many family members and friends in different branches of the military. They have always inspired me and I do see them as heroes and heroines.
Specifically, for the GhostWalkers I had come across information about psychic experiments done around the world, in so many different countries, as military programs or experiments. With so many countries working on these types of programs I wondered how successful they are.
I was interested in psychic talents, how they worked and whether they really could be trained to be used as weapons. It was fascinating. And these experiments started very early on, not just recently. My mind began to ask that “what if” question – What if this actually worked? What if those talents could be enhanced? From there, the GhostWalker series was born.
