Hi Joe. This isn’t about Houdini but about your top 100 baseball players. How did you determine the list? It seems like it is skewed toward more modern players with many hall of famers not even cracking the top 50. Please feel free to answer in the baseball book club here on goodreads.

Hi Brina. The list definitely DID skew, at least a little bit, toward modern players. That was on purpose ... I think lists like these too often snub modern players. Baseball is very different from football or basketball in that we fans really venerate players from 100 years ago, which is a wonderful part of the game. But I think in the process we sometimes overlook just how great today's players really are. Thanks for the question!
