Diana asked Christine Feehan:

At times I find it difficult to read excerpts on child sexual abuse and appreciate that writing about it drives awareness. My question to you is, how are you able to write in such detail and do you have to prepare yourself emotionally and mentally before doing so?

Christine Feehan It is difficult. I don't get graphic about the child abuse. You know what happened to them, but I don't do details.
I often have to step away. In order to make these people and situations feel real, they need to feel real to me first. It's not easy to write. But, it does drive awareness and that is important to me.
