I love this book, but the ending felt like a cliffhanger? Did Ice and Soleil have children? I hope that Ice was able resolve some sexual abuse issues with a therapist? /

The end is that they were together, in love and happy. In that respect, it wasn't a cliffhanger at all.
I can't just jump forward with children since that would upset the storyline for the other characters.
As far as resolving sexual abuse issues, that's not likely. I have spoken to more than one therapist and this kind of abuse doesn't get fixed or resolved. It's just not realistic. Ice will always have PTSD. He will always struggle with his demons. He isn't fixed. What he is, is loved. Accepted. Understood. He has a life partner who accepts him and loves him regardless of his issues and knows he will never be "cured" of them. Ice, loves her and wants to be a better man. He wants to do things that show he's worthy. In that way, she's helped him.
Also, how would that therapy session be able to be open and honest when Ice has killed and will likely kill in the future? That would have to be a very unique therapist to overlook that.

I love the series! But I honestly can’t figure out Eloísa. She can be the most obnoxious person alive, but then risk her life for be of the daughters-in-law. Her attitude towards Emmanuelle is so hateful. It’s almost like if her marriage was so unhappy, she wants to make sure Emm’s will be as well. Why can’t she show her children any love?

Hey Christine, I recently finished VR and loved it. I wanted to ask you, if you could be any of the Torpedo Ink crew or any of your characters from your other series’, who would it be and why? As always, your writing is a true escape and brings me all the warm and fuzzies i hold most dear :) and I cant wait to read more! Keep being awesome.

I am a huge fan of your work. I have over the past year worked through Drake Sisters, Sister of the Heart and am up to Annihilation Road in the Torpedo Ink series. I know you have stated that the sunrise lake books are not a series, but I sure hope you end up writing them that way. Do you happen to be working on one such story lately and if so when do you think tentatively, it could be put out?
