What is your inspiration for the characters and who's story is next?

The characters come to me completely on their own. They are so vivid and alive in my mind with a complete backstory. They are not based on anyone, although the terrible things they experience as children were taken from horrific reality.

Hi, I love your Dark series, I know next will be Dark Carousel on 2nd August. But can we have more much more :) maybe at least 3 books a year pls. Do you have any spoiler for your fans about what to expect next. Will we be in USA for while in Carpathian world? You are the best <3
