(view spoiler)[Hi Mrs. McMann!
In the Island of Silence, it is said that both statues and creatures freeze up when the head mage dies. This is a reiterated topic for all the books that come after including the Quests book. And yet... If you refer to page 297 of Dragon Fire, Ms. Octavia is alive and talking. Not frozen like the rest of Mr. Today's and Alex's creations. I was hoping you could explain to me the reason why?

Whoops! Sounds like you found a mistake that I and the dozens of editors and proofreaders didn't catch. Good job! After 12 books in the same world, we were bound to make a mistake like that, I suppose. :)

Hello Lisa, I am a huge fan of your series, but I face a dilemma, I’m re-reading the Unwanteds so I can get into the Quests, but I accidentally came across that Alex died. I was very saddened as I’m sure you and everyone else is, but after finishing the originals in under a week, I’m not sure if I can face Alex’s death. My question is, is the death worth it in the end like I’ve heard mentioned? Will I survive?

Dear Miss. McMann, I was wondering how you can up with the whole idea of doing the Wake trilogy? I finished the book in about a book in a couple days, thats how much I loved them! I could actually connect with the relationships between every character, and I absolutely favor the love between Janie and Cabe. It makes me really think how relationships can grow and change between time. Thanks, Krystal Baillargeon
