I'm about halfway through and so far it has not been either. I found it a little slow in the beginning but now it's intriguing. I guess the word I would use is eye-opening. It really makes me think. I'm sure there's a big lesson to be learned toward the end but right now I'm still at the turning point of the story. I'm not enjoying this book as much as I did "The Noel Diary". That one was much better written and I really liked the main characters.
