What are the most challenging and interesting things about being a team of mother-son writer? How did the idea of working as a team first came about?

We were visiting a battlefield where there was a mystery as well. We found that intriguing, and it led to the idea of trying our own historical mystery. We are both history buffs so it sounded like a fascinating challenge. How does it work? Well, we haven't killed each other yet! The truth though is that we love the characters and the books, and so we work out differences with that in mind! We are a lot alike, which helps, but we are still 2 different people, and that makes the books even better!

I like to learn about the novel’s locations & will Google Map them to see where in England we are & distances traveled between towns. The locations are either real (Padstow - No Shred of Evidence) or created (Heyl) that sound similar to existing names (Hayle?), but the real named town can be nowhere near the novel’s setting. How do you choose location names, especially the fictional names modelled after a real name?
