Once I had the vision for my book and a chapter outline, I either did some research on some aspect of the book or interviewed someone. With that new content, I would try to write about it immediately. I kept track of how many words I wrote in each writing session as I had a goal for how many words the book needed to be. Tracking progress against that goal encouraged and inspired me.
