I received the book Born a Crime - Trevor Noah - in the adapted version for young readers (by mistake) - I did not realize I had selected the adapted version until I picked it up from the library. There was a long waiting list for the regular version - so, I kept the adapted version. I am not sure of what the changes could be. Can anyone please explain if I am missing much of the book by reading the adapted?

For instance, the chapter about Trevor's time in jail includes some details about the people he met while he was there that are eliminated from the YA version. But for the most part, it's the same book.(less)
